Challenge
Our customer faced a challenge with extended SKU changeover times on their KHS bottling machines. This was primarily attributed to service technicians’ insufficient understanding of the SOPs, exacerbated by the impracticality of traditional hands-on training in the context of continuous production.
Consequently, a reliance on observational learning or ‘buddy training’ led to a shortage of experienced experts, prolonged equipment downtime, and financial losses due to production interruptions.
